Reflect, Reset, Recharge: Preparing for the Year Ahead

Happy New Year! As we close out 2024, we're reflecting on how this time of year can feel, and the different ways we can prep for the year ahead!

Happy New Year from everyone at Seven Circles!

This time can be filled with a lot of anxiety and expectations—what will this year bring? What if something bad happens this year? Am I doing too much, or too little? This time of year can also be so exciting. A time to restart, filled with promise and new beginnings. It sort of feels like the beginning of a relationship all over again!

Instead of letting intrusive questions and thoughts take root, though, you can take this time with your partner to reflect on what you loved about 2024 and how you want to carry that with you into 2025.

You can be honest about what worries you about this year and know that you are not alone in how you conquer it.

New Years does not have to be only about improvement, leveling up, or “success” as society defines it. Can’t New Years be about appreciating what we have and ensuring that we keep it?

Reflect with your partner and talk about how you are feeling about this year. If you’re up for it, ask each other these questions:

What is one thing we did this year together that you loved?

What is something you’re proud of from 2024?

What are a few things that made you really happy this year?

What excites you about the new year?

What is your biggest hope for this year? How can I best support you in realizing that hope?

No matter how you choose to celebrate, be it with resolutions, a party, or going to bed at 9pm,we wish all of you a happy and healthy New Year!
